Q: I imported employee records from Excel and now some employees are duplicated.

A: When you import employee records from Excel, if you only include the employee name (and not the ID number), and the employee names don't match exactly, TRAIN TRACK will see them as new employees. Similarly, if you only include the ID number, and it doesn't match exactly, TRAIN TRACK will see them as new employees.

Check your spreadsheet for different spellings or extra spaces in the records. Also, select a cell with a name and check the formula area at the top of the page for hidden characters such as an apostrophe in front of the name.
