Process Timed Out when Importing from the Web Interface
Q: When I try to import records from the Web interface, I get an error message stating that the process timed out.
A: The time out error is likely caused by TRAIN TRACK attempting to parse blank lines. This can be resolved by editing the Named Range that tells TRAIN TRACK which rows to import. Please follow these steps:
- Open your import template in Excel and enter your data.
- From the Ribbon, select Formulas > Name Manager.
- In the lower right hand corner of the Name Manager window, click the small Up arrow icon.
- Highlight the fields you are importing on the template, including the column headings.
- The Name Manager window will shrink. Click the small Down arrow icon on the right of the query field.
- Click the green check mark.
- Close the Name Manager window.
- Save and close the file.
- Import as normal.
