Q: A supervisor has left and been replaced with a new supervisor. I need to update all of the employee records with the new supervisor. Is there an easy way to do this, other than going to each employee record and changing them one at a time?

A: The easiest way to update a group of employees is to import the employee records. You can just list each employee (the employee name and/or ID number) and the new supervisor. You can leave the other fields blank. It will only update the new information.

In version 13, you can do this by going to the Database Administration tab and selecting "Globally Update Supervisor" 

In version 11 or earlier, please make sure the new supervisor is already listed as an employee before importing.
