Is the license for Concurrent uses?

Q: Is the license for Concurrent uses?

A: No, the license is for Named users.

  • A concurrent user license means any number of users may use the program under one user license, as long as only one at a time is using it (or as many as the number of licenses).
  • A named user license means only one person may use the program under one license, and it does not matter if other users with their own license are logged in at the same time.

In TRAIN TRACK, Each person who uses the database to edit or view data for other employees will need their own license. It does not matter how many users are accessing the program simultaneously. The user license must be assigned to only one person to use. However, if that employee no longer needs the license, it may be permanently transferred to another employee.

Employees logging in to view their own status, enroll in classes, or take exams do not need to have their own license. Administrator, Standard, Limited, Read-only, and Completions-only users do need their own license.
