Office 16 Click to Run Extensibility Component Error
Q: When I run the TRAIN TRACK installer I get an "Office 16 Click to Run Extensibility Component" error.
A: Before selecting which TRAIN TRACK software to install, please confirm whether your current MS Office installation is 32 bit or 64 bit.
The easiest way to determine what version of Office is installed:
1. Open a Microsoft Office application such as Microsoft Word.
2. Click on the “File” tab.
3. From the bottom left of the screen, click on “Account”.
4. Click on “About Word” (or the name of the application you opened).
5. The first line at the top should indicate either 32- or 64-bit.
Once you have definitely determined that you have a 32 bit (or 64 bit) Office installation, chose the matching TRAIN TRACK software. If you still receive the error, you may uninstall the Office 16 Click to Run Extensibility component and proceed with the correct installation.
