TRAIN TRACK"

Importing data to a new version of TRAIN TRACK

Q: I have a new version of TRAIN TRACK®. How do I import data from my previous version?

A: This only applies to users moving from the Desktop to the Client edition, or to a new version of the Desktop edition.

Before you install the new version, be sure to create a backup copy of your old version and place it in a safe location. Do not skip this step!

Once you have installed your new version of TRAIN TRACK®, you may import your data from the previous version.

  1. Open the new version.
  2. From the navigation pane on the left, click on "Import Data".
  3. From the Import Menu, click "Import Data from a Previous version of TRAIN TRACK®."
  4. Browse to the location of your previous database. In the Desktop Edition, the database is typically located here: C:\Program File(x86)\TRAINTRACK\Desktop\10_x_x\TRAINTRACKxx.mde. If you cannot locate your previous version, search for "traintrack".
  5. Click "Import".
  6. Click though any security warnings.
  7. Once imported, close TRAIN TRACK, re-open, and confirm that your data was successfully imported.
