Q: The Desktop interface will not open. I get an error message:
Desktop Edition: "The expression On Click you entered as the event property setting produced the following error. File format no longer supported."
Client Edition: "The expression On Open you entered as the event property setting produced the following error: Error accessing file. Network connection may have been lost ."
A: These messages started to appear after Microsoft's March 2016 MS Office 2010 Update: KB3085515.
The official fix from Microsoft will arrive in the April 2016 MS Office 2010 Update.
Microsoft recommends removing the update as a temporary solution.
