TRAIN TRACK"

The expression On Open... produced the following error: ODBC connection to (DSN) failed

Q: I have successfully set up my ODBC connection, but when I open the Client interface, I get the error "The expression On Open you entered as the event property setting produced the following error: ODBC connection to (DSN) failed". How do I resolve this?

A: Please delete and re-connect your ODBC connection ensuring that you are not running/setting up the ODBC connection as an Administrator.

1. From the computer search bar, type in "ODBC: and search.
2. Click on "ODBC Data Sources (32-Bit)".
3. Under the "User" tab, select your TRAIN TRACK connection (usually "TTSERV").
4. Click "Remove".
5. Click "Add". A pop-up box will open.
6. Select the driver "SQL Server Native Client" and click "Finish".
7. "Type in the name "TTSERV" and select your server. Click "Next".
8. Click "Next" again. Check the box to change the default database and select your TRAIN TRACK database.
9. Click "Next" then "Finish". In the pop-up box, select "Test Data Source".
