Last Updated a year ago

Q: I have a new version of TRAIN TRACK. How do I import data from my previous version?

A: This only applies to users moving from the Desktop to the Client edition, or to a new version of the Desktop edition.

Before you install the new version, be sure to create a backup copy of your old version and place it in a safe location.

Once you have installed your new version of TRAIN TRACKĀ®, you may import your data from the previous version.

  1. Open the new version.
  2. From the navigation pane on the left, click on "Import Data".
  3. From the Import Menu, click "Import Data from a Previous version of TRAIN TRACKĀ®."
  4. Browse to the location of your previous database. In the Desktop Edition, the database is typically located here: C:\Program File(x86)\TRAINTRACK\Desktop\10_x_x\TRAINTRACKxx.mde. If you cannot locate your previous version, search for "traintrack".
  5. Click "Import".
  6. Click though any security warnings.
  7. Once imported, close the program, re-open, and confirm that your data was successfully imported.
