Security warning opening TRAIN TRACK
Q: When I open TRAIN TRACK®, I get a message that reads: "A potential security concern has been identified. Warning: It is not possible to determine that this content came from a trustworthy source. You should leave this content disabled unless the content provides critical functionality and you trust its source."
A: This is caused by a security setting within Microsoft Access. To change this setting:
1. Open Access® (without opening TRAIN TRACK®).
2. Go to File > Options > Trust Center.
3. Click Trust Center Settings > Trusted Locations.
4. Add the location where you have TRAIN TRACK® installed. Use the path for the TRAINTRACK folder (i.e. C:\Program Files(x86)\TRAINTRACK\) and check off the box for "Subfolders of this location are also trusted". Click OK.
Please make sure to also check off the box for "Allow Trusted Locations on my network" on the Trusted Locations screen
Using the installer may also eliminate these warnings.
If you get an error that you do not have permission to add the selected path to your Trusted Locations, try entering the server name or IP address before the name of the drive (\\ServerName\Drive:\FolderName/FolderName)
